An AI generates an initial image tile, then iteratively expands outwards, triggered by new bids. Each addition is determined by the AI perceiving and analyzing the last tile, and synthesizing a new prompt to create the next. Using outpainting techniques, the tiles blend into a seamless patchwork of visuals and ideas, ensuring that every time the process runs, it produces a unique and unpredictable artwork.

The artwork starts at one square inch and expands in proportion to the price as bids are placed, increasing by one square inch every $100, ultimately reaching a maximum size of 12 by 10 feet when bidding reaches $1.78 million. As the image evolves, an oil painting robot created by Matr Labs translates the growing composition onto canvas. The piece doubles as a live performance, unfolding in direct response to audience participation, and becoming the first artwork whose physical size is directly determined by its price in a live auction.

The image is generated in real-time and reflected in its digital representation, while the robotic painting machine operates only during Christie's open hours. The process can be viewed in person at Rockefeller Center. A technician will occasionally pause the painting to refill the ink, and any mechanical interruptions will not affect the final artwork, which will reflect the digital version.

Hot Robot #2: Grady (Aperture Desk Job)

Did you know Grady is one of the only cores to have hands? Personally, I wanna shake his hand. And fistbump him. And do all those cool, hand-y related things with 'em.. I get the strangest feeling I might shake his hand too hard and it'd end up falling off, though.

Ah.. this guy. You know, I didn't expect to enjoy him as much as I did, but Valve is just. really good at making charming people who never stop talking at me apparently. I loved the little section where you were shooting the turret and he was talking about getting matching tattoos and stuff. They could've made the game 30 minutes of Grady talking to you about random stuff and I'd play it.

GRGMNMGAE LYCRA AND ASSISTANT DRIVE ME FERAL Lycra was an average dog prior to being picked up and sold off to a lab, in which he was augmented and experimented on, and Assistant was implanted into him.

Assistant was far more intelligent than the scientists anticipated, and ended up being complex enough to shut down their systems temporarily and sever the connections they had so Lycra could escape, which is why they're currently on the run. Assistant is basically just rogue A.I intelligence and Lycra without her would really just be a dog with slightly strange mechanical pieces. The only reason Lycra knows what he does is because of Assistant's intellect, he's actually not that smart, especially not compared to her

Unfortunately, she is very short-tempered and often gets frustrated by his lack of wits, she claims the only reason she wants to protect him is for her own sake, because technically his life is her own. [She's actually fond of him and cares in her own way, she'd never admit it though] Tough love is her go-to, and she can be really fucking cruel sometimes, like going dormant for long periods of time because Lycra upset her and leaving him to wander on his own as punishment despite his apologies and pleas. Which normally ends up with Lycra breaking himself and Assistant coming back online to nag him about it.
